A very easy cake to make, just wack all of the ingredients together.
Line a 200mm diameter by 35mm deep (8"×1½") baking tin with non-stick paper, bottom and sides.
Stir the dry ingredients together. Add the vinegar, melted butter, vanilla and water and blend well. Wack the mix into the paper-lined baking tin.
Bake at 180°C, 350°F (a moderate oven) for about 30 minutes. (Closer to 45 minutes, I reckon.) Test with a skewer - when it comes out clean, the cake‘s done.
Let the cake to cool for ten minutes before removing it from the tin. Leave it on a rack for further cooling.
Serve with a scoop of ice-cream or cream.
